Welcome
Hello, my friends. I call you my friends, because we are united in our desire to own a profitable home-business. United in the goal to become more, and assist others in doing the same. In doing so, we shall achieve the prosperity that we each desire.

To paraphrase one of my favorite books: ‘When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a (wo)man, I did away with childish things. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. But now faith, hope, charity, abide these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” 1 Corinthians 13:11
As my friends, I feel that you should know the ‘real’ me.
I have always been somewhat of a loner. You know who I’m talking about, the person who zigs when others zag. The person who sits in the back of the room hoping that no one will notice. I was never much for team sports or activities. Give me a nice firm dodge-ball and I was in heaven! I was in Girl Scouts and 4-H from 1st grade through High School, but that was the extent of my ’social life’. There was always that feeling of not fitting in. I’m sure you’ve been there from time to time. We could explore all the personal aspects of my childhood to discover the root of the problem, but that is not the purpose of this post.
I grew up in a middle class household with one younger sister. Until I was about 10 years old, my mother was a stay at home mom. My dad was always a hard working man. That year, my parents decided to open a donut shop. In the following years, the little shop turned into a full bakery. Both of my parents worked very long hours to make a living for our family. My parents would always tell my sister, and myself, that we could do anything we set our minds to do. I was always trying some entreupreneural ‘gig’. I tried selling greeting cards and magazines door-to-door. But, I wasn’t a salesperson. My biggest pitch was: “you wouldn’t want to buy some greeting cards, would you?” Looking back, that’s really funny.
Then, the summer before I turned 16, my mother died. It was a short illness and an unexpected death. Life as we knew it changed. The bank took over the bakery and we lost our home. Now I tell you this part because although I didn’t realize it at the time, these events made me the person I am today. If I’ve learned nothing else, it’s that we can either adapt to our situation and take advantage of the cards we are dealt, or we can become a victim and blame everything in our life on one specific moment in time.
I remember as a child wanting to be able to fix everything that was broken. A desire to fix anything, from the broken clock to the dog with a broken leg. One would think that I would choose a career in healthcare, education, maybe even veterinary medicine. Not even close. I chose to become an accountant, because that’s where the “money” was. Instead of following my heart, I did what was expected of me. For 30 years, I took care of other peoples’ money, other peoples’ business, and other peoples’ success. I watched from the sidelines while others become successful. Yet, that need to “fix” things lingered.
Have you ever wished for a ‘DO OVER’? You know what I mean. That one thing, that if you could reverse time, you might have done a few things differently? I’m sure we all have at one time or another.
Enter the world of Network Marketing. In Network Marketing, we are blessed with the ability to help others “fix” the parts of their lives that are broken. To be able to assist others in the realization of their dreams, and achieving our own through the process.
When I first discovered Network Marketing some 10 years ago the name of my company was Dream Achievers LTD. I had dreams, and nothing was going to keep me from achieving those dreams. Everyone I contacted would also have dreams and together we would achieve those dreams. It was a beautiful scenario. The reason LTD was attached was because Dream Achievers was already taken. Little did I realize at the time that three little letters would determine the outcome of my networking career. I was limited. Limited in my ability to communicate effectively, limited in forming relationships, and mostly limited in the belief in myself. I struggled for many years in an attempt to get something going; anything going. Nothing happened! Time was passing, I jumped from company to company, product to product, invested more than $25,000 in a money pit. I still had the dream, and I was going to become a success. It’s not rocket science, right?
Fast forward, to October 2004. Enter ABC123 Company! Now this wasn’t your typical introduction to ABC123. I was with another company at the time, struggling (hmmm), and I had a “HOT” prospect on the phone. My upline in that company was non-existent. I needed HELP! Being the ever diligent student, I had compiled a list of Leaders in that company. Now was the time to put it to use! I dialed, and held my breath. Soon a voice answered. I introduced myself, “you don’t know me, but . . .”. She graciously agreed to do the 3-way call with me. At the completion of the call, she took me aside and told me two very important things. One, my “HOT” prospect was a DUD, and she was no longer with that company. “I can’t tell you about what I’m doing now, because I agreed not to cross recruit”, she said. I begged her for more information. What I was doing wasn’t working. I knew that if she was involved with something new, it had to be good. She told me about this company that was a little over a year old, they had amazing corporate leadership, and this category creating product. Within 10 minutes of “hello” I said to my wonderful new sponsor, Janice Stieglitz, “Sign me up”!
I started signing people up immediately. I told the story: New company, management, new product from a fruit we’ve never heard about before. I was on my way. NOT! My friends and associates liked the product, but there was no attachment. No one wanted to join me in my quest for the ultimate business. I kept hearing that to attract better people into your business, you must become better. In January 2006 I started the quest into personal development. I knew that who I was would never, ever, ever make it in this business. I had to become MORE! I became a personal development junky. I read; I attended events; I did whatever it took to become more. No matter what company you are with, the technology can be great, and the leadership is unparallel, without the skills the business will not work. We must never loose sight of the fact that we are dealing with people; people with goals, dreams, and aspirations. There is more to being a sponsor than just signing someone up and letting them go.
The person I was would not be writing this expose. The person I was would have given up on the idea of working for themself. The person I was would have never written a blog. The person I was is gone. I am beginning to attract business builders into my team. The first thing I tell them is to keep their goals in sight and never quit. Sometimes, it’s necessary to step back and regroup, reevaluate, and rededicated to your purpose. If I would have quit those many years ago, I would not have become the person I am now. I sincerely believe that we each have a predestined course, and it is up to us to develop that course. My destiny is to become more and assisting others in the achievement of their goals and dreams.
