The Truth about NetWORK Marketing
In any hour on the Internet, thousands of people just like you, and me are looking for the perfect home business. They are looking for a business to supplement their income or in many cases as a way TO FIRE the Boss and become financially independent in one swift swoop. Unfortunately, it isn’t that easy.
As the saying goes, “If it sounds too good to be true; it probably is”, is a good rule to follow when searching for anything on the Internet and holds particularly true when looking for a home business. How many work at home opportunities do you look at a week, or even in a day? I used to look no less than 20 a day, all promising the same thing. No work, get rich quick, so easy a child could understand it and on and on. Sadly, people, who expect something for nothing, usually get what they pay for and the only person that will get rich quick is the person who signs you up in this “business”.
While I was doing my research into some of these so-called businesses that promised me the sun and moon in a hand basket, I came upon a startling realization. The same people who were telling me how easy it is were actually working. Their ads did not just magically appear, their free websites, were not just done with a push of the “EASY” button. These people actually had to work on it day in and day out.
Now are you sitting up in your chair? Are you saying to yourself, “Hey I get it, I understand now”? A home business requires discipline. When you work at a job, your employer expects a certain level of performance. As an entrepreneur, you are the boss, you are in control of your destiny. It is your responsibility to expect that same level of performance from yourself. This requires working as if you were working on a job. Many people fail in Network Marketing because they don’t treat it like a business. They expect a windfall to be delivered at their door with no effort.
It took me 8 times of looking, buying, and then failure. Always blaming the company. Always saying, “How come they can do it and I can’t?” I have always believed that if you’re big enough to do wrong, then you’re big enough to admit it. So here I say it out of my own mouth, and type it with my own nimble fingers. I WAS WRONG AND I KNOW BETTER NOW! Whew, there I said it!
Network Marketing is not a get rich quick scheme. The most important part of this business is the WORK. Expect success and it will track you down.
